How is the price of an LCL (groupage) shipment calculated?
LCL freight is charged per W/M (weight or measure): we compare the volume in cubic metres with the weight in tonnes (1 tonne = 1 m³) and charge the higher figure, with a minimum of 1 W/M. Our online calculator shows the estimate instantly, including customs clearance, local charges and delivery to your door.
Do your prices include customs duties and import VAT?
No. Customs duties and import VAT are paid to the Romanian state and depend on the HS code and origin of your goods. You can estimate them in our calculator by entering the goods value, HS code and duty rate from the EU TARIC database. However, we can handle the customs clearance for you.
What documents do I need to import goods from China?
Usually a commercial invoice, a packing list and the bill of lading (or air waybill / rail consignment note), plus an EORI number for your company. Some goods also need certificates, for example a certificate of origin, MSDS for batteries and chemicals, or CE conformity documents.
What is the difference between EXW and FOB?
Under EXW, we collect the goods from your supplier’s factory and handle export clearance in China. Under FOB, your supplier delivers the goods to the port of loading and clears them for export. EXW gives you more control; FOB is often simpler when your supplier already works with a local trucker.
Should I choose sea, rail or air freight?
Sea freight is the most economical for large or heavy shipments that are not urgent. Rail freight is faster than sea and much cheaper than air, a good fit for mid-value goods. Air freight is best for urgent, light or high-value cargo. Our calculator compares all three for your shipment.
Do you deliver to my address in Romania?
Yes. We deliver full containers from Constanța and groupage, rail and air shipments from our Otopeni hub to most cities in Romania. Select your city in the calculator to see the delivery cost.
Can I insure my cargo?
Yes. We recommend cargo insurance for every shipment. It covers the value of the goods plus the cost of transport to the destination, and you can add it directly in the calculator when you place your order.
